After only about a month of construction, the team behind Morgan’s have revamped their space on the beach and resurrected a new restaurant, Georgia’s Union. The focus at Georgia’s Union is southern comfort with a menu of organic soul food, featuring ingredients straight from the farm. Early dishes include: sweet corn hush-puppies with roasted garlic aioli, duck and dumplings, oven roasted cornish game hen, and braised grass-fed oxtail. And for dessert, it’s not the south without a fresh peach cobbler on the menu. The dining room is dressed to fit the part with exposed beams, open air and foliage, “it’s like dining on your grandmother’s porch”. Georgia’s Union will be open Monday through Wednesday 5 p.m. to midnight, Thursday through Saturday 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
