If you can’t travel to Spain this summer, fear not. This Monday Algonquin Dinner Club is bringing the flavors of Spain to you. The successful owners of Pub Belly and Pub Belly Sushi opened Barceloneta, a Catalan influenced hip, tapas bar, just six months ago. In the kitchen is Juliana Gonzales, a James Beard semifinalist this year, for best chef in the South. The menu will be served family style. Items are as follows: Beet Salad, Croquetas: serrano ham fritters, Tortilla de patatas: Spanish potato and onion omelette, Arroz Manposteao: bomba rice & beans, Ensalada Ferran: tomato salad with water melon, basil and sherry vinaigrette, Grilled Calamari, Roasted Baby chicken, plus one glass of red or white Spanish wine. $40 per person, tax, and gratuity included, cash only in advance. Also, all bottles of wine are 50% off all night. Valet parking and street parking available.
