Enjoy lectures, cooking demonstrations, samplings and childrenâ€™s activities as part of Fairchild Gardenâ€™s International Mango Festival. It’s all about mangos – from mango-inspired cuisine to the largest mango collection in the world with over 1,200 mango trees for purchase, fun activities for the kids, a marketplace of mangos and mango products, educational lectures, entertainment and lots more. More than 100 varieties of Fairchild mangos, as well as fruit from India and Puerto Rico, will be available for purchase; mango trees available, including a Curatorâ€™s Choice tree; and the worldâ€™s only mango auction. On both days a Mango Tasting and Flavor Evaluation Room will be set up in Corbin A with an entry fee of $1. Savor a mango smoothie as you browse the displays or visit the Schnebly Brewing Company booth where you can sample their newest mango brew from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturday morning sample mango pies from Kennyâ€™s Great Pies and mango coconut water from Zico Coconut Water. Sundayâ€™s activities include tastings of chefsâ€™ mango specialties and informative demonstrations. Admission is $25 for adults, $18 for seniors and $12 for kids 6 â€“ 17. Walkers and bikers enjoy discounts and military personnel with ID have free admission, their spouses $20 and children $10.
