Constructed with recycled and sustainable materials, the newest â€” and largest â€” addition to the Shack family features tabletops sourced from reclaimed bowling alley lanes handcrafted in Brooklyn, NY, as well as wooden counter seating made from reclaimed river cypress. Conveniently situated just a burger’s throw from the University of Miami, the Shake Shack already has a strong following at The U. As is the case with all Shake Shacks, the frozen custard “concrete” selections were created specifically for the Coral Gables Shack, with names that are a playful nod to the surrounding community. ‘Canes fans can rally their next ice cream craving around The “U” Malt (chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough and malt). Other Gables-specific concretes include the Coral Crisp (vanilla custard, peanut butter sauce, marshmallow sauce, Valrhona chocolate pearls and crispy crunchies), and the Cookie Cubana (vanilla custard, Cuban-style sugar cookie, salted caramel sauce and banana).
