The ‘Gables Ladies Luxury Hot Pink’ summer event was hosted by High Heels & Handshakes and the Coral Gables Women’s Club in honor of Badges of Courage. Guests gathered at Crave Restaurant in Village of Merrick Park to enjoy complimentary Ciroc pink cocktails, delicious mini bites and participate in a speed networking game. Fabulous stores, such as Tiffany & Co., Azzurro Fashion, Casa Maria and OndaDeMar, donated items to be raffled among the crowd.
Macarena Zilveti, founder of Badges of Courage Foundation, explained to SoFlaNights how this foundation strives to help low-income women to pay for their utility bills and house expenses, while unable to work due to cancer treatment. Attendees were also encouraged to donate pairs of shoes for Dress for Success Miami, a charity that helps disadvantaged individuals to regain self-confidence and secure employment, by receiving job skills training and professional style tips.
