The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is celebrating its centennial by honoring Miami Beach’s rich history, as it relates to the business community and the Chamber, by rolling out virtual programming that will commence in August with a 20’s inspired kick-off. In each succeeding month, the Chamber will highlight a decade of Miami Beach history via a Facebook Live video production that will be organized by WeStream and CEO Patricio Fernandez.
On August 13 at 4:30 pm, the Chamber will be hosting a kick-off event, via Facebook Live, hosted by President & CEO Jerry Libbin, Jacobs and Rubin. This glamourus-20’s inspired virtual fete will feature an in-depth tour of the historic Carl Fisher Clubhouse, which is being rehabilitated by Craig Schaffer from Critical Path Construction and architect Richard Heisenbottle. The tour will discuss the historic significance of Carl Fisher and this beautiful waterfront building, which is the oldest building in Miami Beach. Fisher was best known as one of the active promoters of the Florida land boom of the 1920s and early development of Miami Beach. Following the tour, there will be virtual cocktail demonstration by a local bartender who will be showcasing a cocktail from the era.
