The Richard J. Fox Foundation will host and support numerous events in recognition of prostate cancer awareness month. The kick-off event is an outdoor concert, Ban Cancer ‘Worth It All’ for a Cure. The event, to take place at Huizenga Plaza on the Riverwalk, will feature Roberto Perera, Jazz Guitarist Terry Wollman, Melanie Taylor, Blue Fire Band, Unusual Suspects as well as various other artists. Net proceeds from this fundraising event will be made in memory of Richard Mancuso, Fort Lauderdaleâ€™s 2012 Citizen of the year to benefit the following: Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center and Melanie Strudler Legacy Fund.
