“Upcycled: New Life for Discarded Materials” features works by contemporary artists Carlos Anzola, Ryan Farrell, Regina Jestrow, Lucinda Linderman and CanLove (a collaborative of Dennis John Neff and Paul Ramirez). Though the artworks vary in concept, style and medium, the act of upcycling is at play within all of their creative processes. They share the ability to re-invent, revive and add value to the man-made products that would otherwise accumulate in our ever-growing junkyards. The exhibition will cause you to re-examine the ordinary objects that are discarded when worn-out, broken, expired, or outdated. Suddenly, even the most ordinary objects bear exciting possibilities. On view through October 7.
