Guests together with U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen joined Hope for Vision (HFV) at the ‘Party with a Purpose’ for an evening of fun and entertainment and to recognize honorees Nora Bulnes, Sara B. Rossel, Maggie Rodriguez and DR. Eduardo C. Alfonso, with the pledge to continue the mission in eradicating the blindness. Cocktail hour was hosted by South Florida’s most talented chefs; Chef Michael Suchlicki of Fine Food Events, Chef Tim Andriola of Timo Restaurant & Bar, Chef Luciana Cros of Luca Bella and extravagant dessert table by Nix Fine Cakes.
Founded in 2005, Hope for Vision has raised millions of dollars for the development of treatments and cures for blinding diseases, with particular focus on retinal degenerative diseases. With the support of thousands of advocates across the country, and guided by its board of Visionary Scientists, HFV distributes over 93 percent of the funds it raises to innovative researchers at leading American medical institutions, who employ a broad range of approaches to cures and treatments – from nanotechnology, to gene therapy, to biotechnology chip implantation.
