“Extending the Line” Opening Reception at Arevalo Gallery

Saturday, October 6, 6:30-9:30pm – Arevalo Gallery, 151 NE 40th Street, Suite 200, Miami Design District

Arevalo Gallery is pleased to announce “Extending the Line I,” the inaugural exhibition of the gallery’s new Project Room, dedicated to expanding the dialogue between Latin American and international abstract artists. The show will open on October 6 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 151 NE 40th Street, Suite 200, Miami Design District, with a Private Preview, and continues through November 23.  The gallery will also celebrate Second Saturday Art Walk on Saturday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. Francisco Arevalo, whose well respected gallery is known for its focus on Latin American geometric abstraction, invited the team of Kaufman Vardy Projects to curate “Extending the Line I”, which will be on view at the same time as the Miami debut of noted Brazilian artist Macaparana in the main gallery space. The two shows complement each other, exploring a sensibility that reveals the artist’s hand and use of material, thereby adding to the lexicon of minimalism and geometric abstraction.
