Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida’s  (RMHC) 30th Anniversary celebration continues at Giancarlo Jewelry Design’s Charity Night. The family-owned and operated jeweler will donate 20% of all sales directly to RMHC, in support of the charity’s 30th Anniversary. The event is open to the public; light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served.The story of RMHC began in August 1982, when South Florida’s very first Ronald McDonald House opened its doors to provide a “home awayfrom home” for critically ill children undergoing treatment at the area’s pediatric hospitals. Over the past thirty years, the charity grown to help more than 24,000 families get through the harrowing experience of a child’s hospitalization. RMHC also annually provides both grants to other non-profits that work with children and college scholarships to African-American and Hispanic high school students in South Florida.
