Partnering with the Greater Fort Lauderdale, Pier Sixty-Six Hotel and the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBASS), the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will host the 2nd Annual Sunset Soiree & Yacht Chef Competition in the center of Superyacht Village. The evening presented an opportunity to taste the delicious cuisine created by five world-leading Yacht Chefs: Chef Danny Davies of M/Y Excellence, Chef Pascal Parayre of the Sycara V, Chef Andrew Siebert, Chef Alex Forsythe, and Chef Greg McGowan. A panel of four esteemed judges savored the epicurean delights while making their selections: Dionisio D’ Aguilar, Bahamas Minister of Tourism and Aviation, Paula DaSilva, Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale, Sun-Sentinel dining critic Mike Mayo, and food blogger Sami Schnur.
The evening also entertained guests under the stars in Superyacht Village’s lavish oasis featuring a live performance by The Wheeland Brothers, entertainment and yacht-side fun. The winners (chef and vessel) will walk away with prizes and recognition as Best Yacht Chef of the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show!
