It’s a Dallas vs. Houston battle of the knives – a Texas style showdown at the Federal. Chef Todd Erickson, from HaVen Gastro Lounge, and Federal’s Chef Cesar Zapata are set to duke it out kitchen style at the Federal. The chefs will be cooking up a five course menu accentuating tried and true Texan mantra. Comprised of 5 typical Texan themes, the menu will be divvied up between the two chefs – Deep Fried, Tex Mex, Game, BBQ & Sweets – and in the spirit of Big Tex, the chefs will doubtlessly be going big or going home. Additionally, the meal will be paired up with Spoetzl Brewery beers out of Austin, Texas – most recognized for their Shiner Bock beer. The menu will be served family style and will cost $75 per person, not including tax and gratuity.
