Coral Gables Museum's Young Associates 2nd Annual “Party On The Plaza”Friday, November 2, 7-11:30pm – Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables

The Coral Gables Museum’s Young Associates hosted their second annual “Party on The Plaza” featuring the latest artwork from Miami’s emerging talent. Following the success of last year’s launch that raised over $25,000 for the Museum, this year the Young Associates exceeded expectations by raising over $30,000 and bringing in over 550 attendees.  The annual event was created to introduce up-and-coming local emerging artists, and included works from Victor Alarcon, Christiaan Lopez-Miro, Alex Mijares, Paul Ramirez, Raul Boesel Jr., Gaudi Castro, and Michael Halley.
“The Coral Gables Museum’s Young Associates established the annual Party on the Plaza as a celebration to introduce up-and-coming local artists to the Miami arts community,” said Cristina Mas, president of the Young Associates.  “We are delighted to bring such incredible exposure to the Museum, to our community and to these incredibly talented young artists.”
The Honorable Jim Cason, Mayor, City of Coral Gables, provided opening remarks at the event. Party on The Plaza attendees enjoyed Miami’s beautiful fall weather outdoors in the museum’s historic limestone plaza, along with hors d’ouevres, Bacardi drinks, and music provided by DJ Jeff Wool.  A photobooth was available for guests to commemorate the night with pictures.
