The Wolfsonian Visionaries’ “The Art of Illumination”

The Wolfsonian Visionaries' "The Art of Illumination"Saturday, November 10, 9pm – The Moore Building, 4040 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami Design District

Art of Illumination 11.10.12 is the third annual fundraiser hosted by The Wolfsonian’s Visionaries. This celebration took place exactly one day before the official 17th anniversary, at the Moore Building in Miami’s Design District. Guests joined to celebrate seventeen spectacular years and to raise funds to continue The Wolfsonian’s great work as a guiding light in Miami’s art and design world. Guests enjoyed dancing, fantastic food, incredible cocktails, fun music, surprise performances, with the evening’s theme of light. As part of that theme, the Visionaries have conceived and integrated into the fundraiser a participatory design element for a group of Miami’s top designers and architects.  The evening’s theme is inspired by the museum’s innovative digital technology and lighting project, The Art of Illumination: Illuminating the Arts, which will transform the building’s exterior façade into digital exhibition spaces, showcasing still images, text, and video. Launching this fall, The Art of Illumination is designed by the internationally acclaimed L’Observatoire International.
