“The Endless Renaissance” Six Solo Artist Projects

The Endless Renaissance Six Solo Artist ProjectsWednesday, December 5, 9-12am - Bass Museum of Art, 2100 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach

The Bass Museum of Art celebrated the opening of its latest exhibition, The Endless Renaissance: Six Solo Artist Projects, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Barry X Ball, Walead Beshty, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Ged Quinn and Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook with a reception and party that included music by DJ Hottpants, complimentary cocktails by Miami Club Rum, Mandarine Napoléon, Becks and Perrier. This exhibition, The Endless Renaissance: Six Solo Artist Projects, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Barry X Ball, Walead Beshty, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Ged Quinn and Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook is an ongoing exploration of the notion that all art was once contemporary and inversely, that all contemporary works of art are part of a continuum of art history. This ongoing exploration and these six artists projects pay homage to the Bass Museum of Art’s mission statement, “we inspire and educate by exploring the connections between our historical collection and contemporary art.”
Notable guests included: artists Barry X Ball, Walead Beshty, Ged Quinn, Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook, Dzine, Ken Gonzales-Day, Elaine Reichek; curators Peter Dorshenko, Helena Taytay, Ian Berry, Jennifer Blessing, Bill Arning and Jérôme Sans; Executive Director and Chief Curator of Bass Museum of Art Silvia Karman Cubiñá; President of the Board of Directors for Bass Museum of Art George Lindemann; Bass Museum of Art board members: Christina Getty-Maercks (husband Arin Maercks), Alan Randolph, Trudy Cejas (husband Paul Cejas), Cricket Taplin, Lida Rodriguez-Taseff (husband Oscar Sanchez), Hugh Bush, Laura Paresky Gould, Criselda Breene (husband Jonathan Breene) and Brian Erlich; gallerists Shaun Regen, David Maupin, Luis de Jesus and Tyler Rollins.
