Join the eighth annual â€œJohn Offerdahlâ€™s Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival,â€ an event that features a Grill-Off competition with NFL legends and Celebrity Chefs from South Floridaâ€™s finest restaurants. Gear up for a weekend of food, football, music and philanthropy during John Offerdahlâ€™s Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival presented by the University of Miami Health System. Miami Dolphins legends and top South Florida chefs are in position to compete at the eighth annual culinary showdown on Saturday, November 11 from noon â€“ 4 p.m. plus Sammy Hagar & The Circle will continue the entertainment with a concert on Sunday, November 12 at 7 p.m. at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater.
Nearly 3,000 attendees will get a taste of the best of South Florida with delicious entrees prepared by top chefs from restaurants: The Foundry, Sky Thai Sushi, JWB Prime Steak & Seafood at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, The Rusty Hook Tavern, Naked Crab at the B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale and more. The chefs will team up with Miami Dolphins legends, such as Zach Thomas, Channing Crowder, Lorenzo Hampton, Terry Kirby and Twan Russel, to serve up inventive entrees paired with wine or a signature cocktail. In addition to the free-flowing food and drinks, Grill-Off guests will be immersed in live entertainment, a silent auction, the Titoâ€™s Tailgate Zone and the cornhole competition at the Toyota Cornhole Stadium and Festival Stage.
Then, on Sunday, November 12 at 7 p.m., Sammy Hagar, one of rock musicâ€™s most dynamic singer-songwriters, will perform with his new band The Circle. From breaking into the industry with the influential hard rock band Montrose to his multiplatinum solo career to his ride as the front man of Van Halen, the â€œRed Rockerâ€ has set the tone for some of the greatest rock anthems ever written. Heâ€™s earned the highest respect of the music industry with a Grammy Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Circle, features renowned bassist Michael Anthony, acclaimed drummer Jason Bonham and guitar virtuoso Vic Johnson. Collective Soul, the multi-platinum quintet that helped define alternative rock, will open the show. Saturdayâ€™s football, food and wine elements will not be present at Sundayâ€™s concert.
All-inclusive general admission tickets are available for $95 per attendee. VIP Tickets are $135 each, which includes early entry to the event, special access to a full-pour open bar from 12 p.m. â€“ 1 p.m. and giveaways. Must be 21 and up. Ticket prices go up on the day of the event. Concert tickets are available from $49 and a combo package for both events can be purchased starting at $124.50.
