The Miami Heat continue to celebrate their NBA Championship victory with a unique new exhibit. For its third straight year, the â€œArt of Basketballâ€ returns to the Art Basel Miami Beach, showcasing a collection of original art pieces in collaboration with the NBA.Â This time, â€œArt of Basketball: Heat Waveâ€ exhibit will honor the Heat’s title run with a select group of renowned graffiti and street artists from around the world who have created portraits of the teamâ€™s players, notably LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Also featured are canvases that re-imagine the most iconic symbols of their championship season on actual NBA backboards supplied by Spalding. Artists will include Mr. Brainwash, URNY, Sofia Maldonado, The Dude Company, Skewville, Shiro, Cern, Rene Gagnon, Joe Iurato, Ewok One 5MH, Jack Aguire, David Cooper, Cope2, Chris Stain, Gaia, J. Robles, Sero, ECB, Veng, Peat Wollaeger, Junk, Blanco, Bill Fickett and Billi Kid, the curator of â€œArt of Basketball.â€ Come ball out in the name of art at the â€œArt of Basketball: Heat Waveâ€ exhibit that runs from Dec. 5 to 9 at the court about five minutes from American Airlines Arena. Have your wallet in tow as each artwork piece will be available for purchase.
