Pedro Pablo Peña, Founder & Artistic Director (Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, Miami Hispanic Ballet & Creation Art Center) and the Board of Directors of the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami invite you to a cocktail reception celebrating the grand opening of the  Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center. The landmark three-story building has been transformed into a multi-functional performing arts hub housing Miami Hispanic Ballet, Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, CCBM School of Dance, Creation Art Center and The International Steinway Partner School of Music. The event will feature the launch and performance of a new single “Detrás de la verdad” by recording artist Ley Alejandro written specifically for and dedicated to MHCAC, which he was inspired to write and donate to the center upon his recent visit to the historic property now serving as a cultural center. The reception will showcase an exhibit entitled “Projects for a Dream” by renowned sculptor Mario Almaguer whose monumental sculptures were recently in display at Miami Dade College. Mr. Almaguer has designed a steel sculpture for the MHCAC which will remain on permanent display at the entrance of the colonial style facility. Guests will be enchanted with sopranos Mabel Ledo and Susana Diaz accompanied by Felix Spengler with the participation of recently exiled Cuban ballerina Analay Saiz, former member of the Cuban National Ballet with Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami Members Claudia Lezcano and Adriana Mendez-Tosin accompanied by pianist Isaac Rodriguez to the music of Ernesto Lecuona. This will be followed by a performance by Cuarteto Live Note directed by Rey Casas (Piano), with Juan Carlos Ledon (Saxophone), Samuel Furte (Bass) and Fernando Pina (Drums). The talented and popular actor and recording artist, Isaac Reyes, currently playing the role of Billy in the Telemundo novela “Relaciones peligrosas”, will be making a special appearance.
