The Miami Science Museum, the soon to be Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science hosted its stellar 11th Galaxy Gala on Saturday, March 9, 2013. The ‘aquatic meets galactic’ event showcased the new Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, opening 2015 on the waterfront in downtown Miami’s Museum Park.
Since its inception, the Galaxy Gala has helped raise funds for and highlight the planning and development of what is now the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, a world-class, state-of-the-art facility. All proceeds event will directly benefit the Miami Science Museum and its programs.
The now famously fun evening celebrating science started with a cocktail reception featuring live animals and an auction; followed by an ‘aquatic’ dinner experience featuring food, dancing and entertainment. The evening is presented by Miami Science Museum’s Board of Trustees with the leadership of a Gala Committee comprised of community activists and philanthropists. Gala co-chairs for the third consecutive year are Nancy & Jonathan Batchelor and Nicole & Edgar Lozano, and philanthropic Chairs are Trish & Dan Bell.
