TheÂ Girl Scout Council of Tropical FloridaÂ hosted its 10th Annual Girlsâ€™ Night Out at the newly renovated historic Vanderbilt Mansion on Fisher Island. The evening, benefiting the Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida, started with cocktails and relaxed sounds by guitarist Claudio Spiewak, and a silent auction sponsored by Wells Fargo Insurance, followed by private dinner organized by Founders: Toni Randolph, Linda Pareky, Linda Potash, Hazel Rosen and Debi Hoffman.
Many former Girl Scouts joined together with friends and supporters for a social and philanthropic event. One of the former Girl Scouts was the event Mistress of Ceremony, Roxanne Vargas,NBC 6, and young Girl Scouts speaker was Amberlynne Fernandez. All guests received orchids upon their departure, sponsored by Silver Vase.
The 10th Annual Girlsâ€™ Night Out was organized by Co-Chairs: Veranda Dickens, Marcia Dunn, Sharon King and Peggy Smith, all residents of Fisher Island. Members of the Committee included: Sally Boggess, Lance Balding, Leatrice Damus, Georgia McLean, Ansley Ross and Maria D. Tejera.
The local Girl Scout chapter serves over 22,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 17 years old.
