Berta Soler, leader of the Cuban dissident group Ladies in White, will join Miamiâ€™s own Gloria Estefan at a Miami event to commemorate Cubaâ€™s Independence Day.Â The â€œConversation with the Ladies in Whiteâ€ will be held Monday at Miami Dade Collegeâ€™s National Historic Landmark Freedom Tower.Â Estefan led a march in honor of the Ladies in White in Miami in 2010.Â Other members of the movement, as well as prominent Cuban dissidents and winners of the European Parliamentâ€™s Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, are also expected to attend.
