Winner of best humanitarian effort by Ola Film Festival, “Take Me Home” documentary premieres in Miami. From Colombian Director named one of the first Latino directors to document Homelessness in the USA.
The visionary filmmaker Famor Botero will host a private premiere of his award-winning documentary Take Me Home in Miami at The Hoxton. This documentary brings to light the new realities of homelessness by exposing stories of people who most would never expect to see on the streets. A revolution is already starting to spread around the nation and is only going to get stronger as Famor’s vision and journey with the homeless is being shared. Non- profit organizations and youth based organizations are already starting to stand up to join his cause; “someone needs to come and be the voice to the people who are walked past daily.” Famor stated.
Take Me Home is a film that is going to not only share stories. but move people to get out and do something. By bringing awareness to the realities of the streets, people will be moved into action. The Nation was made aware of the growing homeless population and homeless children in Central Florida, therefore it was in Central Florida that the Take Me Home Movement was created; to introduce the Nation to the new faces of homeless.
