Robert Fontaine Gallery, located in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District will open its summer exhibition â€œChronologyâ€ on Tuesday, June 4. Running through October 4, the exhibition will highlight a select timeline of the galleryâ€™s fine art works from 1950s Post-War to today’s cutting edge contemporary works. The survey includes rare pieces and studies by major artists, such as Alexander Calder, Hans Arp, Adolph Gottlieb, Willem de Kooning, Josef Albers, and Helen Frankenthaler. Important figures in Pop Art are represented, including Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, and Tom Wesselmann. In the Post-Pop and Neo-Pop realm, works by Robert Indiana, Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha, and Christo will be on display. The exhibition is also an opportunity to view the robust collection of new works by the galleryâ€™s contemporary international artists side by side, including Nick Gentry, Anthony Lister, RYCA, Troy Abbott, Lisa Alonzo, and Kathy Kissik.Â â€œChronologyâ€ is a manifestation of the Robert Fontaine Galleryâ€™s mission to showcase both museum-quality and cutting edge pop and contemporary art from the 1950s to today.
