Pop Culture in Peanuts features 70 original cartoon strips spanning nearly five decades by the legendary Charles M. Schulz. This is the largest exhibition of original Peanuts drawings to be exhibited outside the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, Calif., in more than a decade. This is a rare chance to see the originals – not reproductions – by a true American original. The Peanuts Play Area adjacent to the exhibition allows visitors to make their own cartoon creations.
Snoopy Jazz Party - opening day event on Saturday, June 8, 12-5pm features Peanuts-themed music by South Florida jazz legend Joe Donato, a cartooning discussion and demonstrations, prizes and raffles, a Snoopy dog house, and Snoopy’s favorite snack – chocolate chip cookies and root beer. Florida Comic Strip Challenge: Amateur cartoonists of all ages create their own comic strip and compete for prizes. Exhibition runs August 3 – August 10. The award ceremony will take place on Sun. August 8. Gallery Hours: Mon.-Fri., 10 am–5 pm and Sat.-Sunday, noon-5 pm. Admission is $10 for adults; $6 for students, seniors and children ages 4 to 17; and free to Center members and children age 3 and younger.
