For the first time in history, World Cup champion Spain will meet Haiti for an exhibition soccer match in South Florida. The game benefits Project Phoenix, an effort to build a world-class stadium in Haiti that will generate jobs and revenue for a youth athletic program. Some of the world’s top-ranked soccer players such as Iker Casillas, Xavi Hernandez and Gerard Pique are expected to participate in the match on Saturday, June 8, at the Sun Life Stadium, Miami. Tickets start at $29 and a portion of the proceeds will directly fund the construction of the stadium and a community center in Port-au-Prince. Tickets available at ticketmaster.com.
