You are invited to help joining to raise money to benefit The American Cancer Society at the fourth annual “Grooving for a Cure 80’s Rewind Fundraising Party” on Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Wherehouse 2016 in North Miami. Grooving for a Cure offers a colorful, fun and one of a kind experience where guests can groove to the musical sounds from the eighties courtesy of Reflection Productions. Guests will also have the chance to participate in fun and entertaining karaoke. The owners of Wherehouse 2016 have generously offered the venue to host the annual event. Caricature artist Carlos Ampudia and photographer Cesar Montoya will also be lending their services to the cause to capture the exciting moments at Grooving for a Cure. Patrons will be treated to a wide selection of food and beverages from Gold Coast Beverage Distributors, Pantry Liquor, and Tropical Ice and will be promptly served by the ABC Bartending School. The fundraiser will also feature silent auctions and chance drawings to win fabulous prizes courtesy of several sponsors that have donated cash and in-kind donations to make the event an even greater success. Donated items include a $4,000 Lasik Eye Surgery donated by The Lasik Vision Institute in Kendall, hotels, restaurants, spas and much more. In keeping with the eighties inspired theme patrons are encouraged to dress in eighties themed costumes. Costume rentals are available at Vintage Diversity in Ft. Lauderdale who will donate $10 to ACS for every head-to-toe purchase or rental. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
