American designer and renowned fashion icon Betsey Johnson, hosted a dazzling evening, full of fun and flare to launch her new Spring/Summer 2014Â swimwear collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. The evening brought together fashionistas for a night of cocktails on the rooftop of The Betsy Hotel. A local Miami DJ lit up the night with scintillating tunes while guests were treated to an exclusive first look at Betsey Johnsonâ€™s new collection. The evening also celebrated the announcement of Betseyâ€™s new partnership with innovative swimwear manufacturer, Malibu Design Group.
For the new Betsey Johnson swim line, the design team at MDG felt there was no greater inspiration than Betsey herself. Using her infectious energy, quirky sensibility and great love of color to drive the design direction, MDG has infused the collection with a modern twist based on current trends, extensive travels, and great vintage finds. Full of ruffles, bows, peplums, embellishments, and sheer mesh inserts, the collection is truly Betsey-licious!
