Each season, Mara Hoffman‘s show takes us on a journey to colorful and often mythical places, with her new swim presentation being no exception. As Hoffman explains, “This collection was inspired by the mythology and mysticism of India, shown through vivid colors and prints. If I had to pick one word to describe the collection, it would be “Shakti.” This season, which is her 5th time showing during Swim Week, New York City based designer, Hoffman was thrilled to receive the prestigious “Mercedes-Benz Presents” title.
Sexy swimwear wasn’t the only thing taking the runway – the all-new 2014 E-Class Cabriolet was making waves poolside at The Raleigh, as the hottest model of the season. As part of the display, Mercedes-Benz and Mara Hoffman also debuted a unique collaboration created exclusively for South Beach’s most stylish week: an E-Class Cabriolet wrapped in a never before seen print from Hoffman’s 2014 Resort Collection. The print is called astrodreamer and appeared on the runway during Hoffman’s show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
Mara Hoffman’s Swim/Resort 2014 show featured styling by Richard Ruiz, hair by Nick Irwin for Catwalk by TIGI, make up by Lori Taylor for Smashbox, nails by LVX, shoes by Michael Antonio, and a custom accessories collaboration with far-flung fashion e-commerce site, L-atitude. Additionally, the Mara Hoffman show could be viewed live, thanks to Everything But Water‘s first ever runway live stream from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
