Designers Lourdes Hanimian and brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian presented their captivating Luli Fama runway show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2014. The Miami-raised and based Cuban-born Lourdes, or “Luli†as she is fondly called, pulled out all the stops for this 2014 swimwear and resort-wear collection, using a vibrant multicolor palette.
South Beach has been a big influence and inspiration to Luli Fama that every piece created for their collection can be sold separately to give endless matches according to the client’s mood. With an assortment of pieces, including monokinis, bikinis, cover-ups and dresses made from light fabrics and in ultra-flattering cuts tailored to accentuate a woman’s figure, it’s no wonder the brand is favorited by celebs such as Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Aniston, Leann Rimes, Ashley Tisdale.
The designers are known for adding live music performances and dancer to their runway shows and this year was not the exception. The salsa dancers, Arismary Garbey and Darcy Ima and Musicians, Taylor Bird, Adrian Gines and Michael Mejia, set the tone for the runway, encompassing the designers Latin roots and staying true to the essence of Miami.
