The restaurants and bars of The Village at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach will be the setting on Friday night for the Cancer Crawl 2011 fundraiser for Gilda’s Club of South Florida. Gilda’s Emerging Leaders, a networking group between ages 21 and 45, is the driving force behind the inaugural event, which pits teams of 10 competing to raise money for Gilda’s Club, the nonprofit that provides outreach, education and support services for families touched by cancer. While the purpose of the party is serious, the theme is anything but.
