Wynwood Brewing Company announced its week long launch events to celebrate the start of its services as the first microbrewery in the Miami area. The events will be held in eight different establishments around the Miami area including the Wynwood Arts District community where the brewery is based, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove, and Kendall. The celebrations will start Monday, September 23rd at 8 p.m. with a launch party at GRAMPS.
WBC started as a dream and a “mild obsession†by Luis Brignoni and his Pops – also named Luis – more than two years ago. Their mission was: “Create the best possible brews for our patrons to enjoy. We are committed to making great bold beers that have character and are uniquely Wynwood. Simply said, to create a work of art in every glass.â€
The Brignonis are committed to the Wynwood neighborhood building the brewery in the up and coming area and distributing their beer to local restaurants and pubs. The first batch of production is being allocated to only ten businesses – most of them in the neighborhood. In each of the venues the Wynwood Brewing Company will present its three brews: La Rubia, a blonde ale; Pops Porter, a robust porter; and Wynwood IPA, an India Pale Ale.
Wynwood Brewing Company brews in a 15-Barrel two-vessel system. One barrel is equal to 31 US gallons. At any given time the brewery can produce about 500 gallons of beers in its 15 barrel fermenters and close to 1000 gallons in the 30 barrel fermenters. WBC uses premium malts from the US as its base malt and British and German Malts for caramel malts.
