TREEmendous Miami Volunteer Appreciation Day

Treemendous Miami Volunteer Appreciation DaySaturday, October 5, 1pm-7pm – Virginia Key Beach Park, Key Biscayne

Join Treemendous Miami as they celebrate the many fantastic volunteers at a Tree Planting and Appreciation Party at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. This event is open to all persons who have ever volunteered and helped TREEmendous Miami – either at this planting or on any past project.  Admittance to Virginia Key Beach Park will be free for this event day, so just tell the park attendant that you are “part of the TREEmendous Miami event” when you enter. The park entrance is located just before Bear Cut Bridge along Rickenbacker Causeway, at the signal light across from U. Miami’s Marine and Atmospheric Science School. There is a sign for the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park at the spot where you turn left, if coming from the mainland. Once past the gate, follow the Park road past the regular, paved parking area and continue on the dirt road to where you will see the TREEmendous Miami banner and the Orange Pavilion. TREEmendous Miami will supply gloves and shovels to the extent of the capacity, but if you can, please bring your own since supply is limited. As always,  drinking water for volunteers during planting will be provided.
