Trinity Cathedral Miami will host its annual service of the Blessing of the Animals and Pet Fair on Sunday, October 6th at 4 pm. The event is free and open to the public. This year, in observance of the month of October as National Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month, they have partnered with a number of animal welfare organizations and agencies in promoting responsible pet ownership and are offering dog and cat adoptions on site that day. In addition, they will have a number of pet-friendly vendors and service providers present, including grooming, veterinary services, pet photography, pet nutrition, and more. There will also be food vendors, give aways and a contest for the best-dressed pooch. All animals must be on a leash or in a secured pet carrier. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations and have current Miami-Dade County rabies tag attached to their collar. They ask that you please clean up after your guests; special “doggy bags” will be available for your convenience. These guidelines will help ensure an enjoyable and safe time for you and your animal companions.
