Dionea Orcini, the fine jewelry brand inspired by traditions of the ancient world, opened its first concept store on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 1 NE 40th St. in the Miami Design District. A showcase for designer Dionea Orcini’s capabilities, the boutique featured products from each of the line’s 11 collections. Open for one week only, the boutique brought Orcini’s distinctive designs to the Design District from Monday, October 21st through Saturday, October 26th.
Keeping with the brand’s flair for the dramatic, the temporary boutique’s décor was refined and monochromatic. White walls contrasted dark floors while an all-white lounge area was surrounded by white orchids and candles. Photographs, shot for the brand’s lookbook by French photographer Remi Rebillard, were enlarged and hung throughout the space.
In celebration of the fine jeweler’s first retail space, the designer herself hosted a tea party for Miami’s social swans. Dubbed “Tea with Tara†for the afternoon’s co-host Tara Solomon, the event brought out notable Miami socialites such as Linda Levy Goldberg, Dana Shear, Deborah Scarpa, Laura Buccelatti, Rachel Finger, Frances Sevilla Secasa, Jennifer Valoppi, Carol Iacovelli, Nicole Lozano, and Iran Issa Kahn. Guests enjoyed tea canapés while hearing Orcini share the stories behind each ornate piece.
