Join for the opening night of Terence Price II’s first solo show, “Dancing in the Absence of Pain,” curated by Diana Nawi with Angelica Arbelaez. The exhibition emerges from a tradition of street photography to document the people closest to Price II. An intimate exploration of life in Miami Gardens, Florida, Price combines his photography with an arrangement of archival family footage and collected artifacts to reflect the black experience in Miami across private and public spaces, over generations. The evening will be held alongside Resident Night, a quarterly event where art lovers can meet our resident artists in their studios and learn about their practice. Light bights and drinks will be provided, with music pop-up by Vinyl Social Club MIA.
