FIU hosted a two-day event featuring foodies competing for the title of FIU’s Best Chef, a silent and live auction, and a Brew Miami craft beer festival – all benefitting FIU’s United Way Campaign.
On Friday, Dec. 9, 15 amateur cooks representing faculty, staff, students and alumni competed in three elimination rounds for the chance to become the best chef at FIU. Each contestant will have a goal of raising $350 for FIU’s United Way Campaign. Spectators had the opportunity to enjoy craft beer and fine wine samples and bid during the silent and live auctions.
On Saturday, Dec. 10, local craft beer and food lovers united for a cause during this year’s Brew Miami. Guests enjoyed pairings of unlimited spirits, fine wine, and of course craft beer samples, with food from local restaurants and food trucks.
