Faena Group, the pioneering development company specializing in one-of-a-kind environments anchored by extraordinary residences, hotels, art and cultural spaces, today announced the opening of the Faena Collaboratory, offering an exhibition of elements of the visionary new community, Faena Miami Beach. Located at Collins and 32nd Streets, by the beach, the Faena Collaboratory will prominently feature Mr. Faena’s and business partner Len Blavatnik’s many “collaborators†including Foster + Partners, Rem Koolhaas, Permasteelisa Group, Rowan Williams Davies and Irwin, The Molteni Group, Fluidity Design Consultants and landscape architect Raymond Jungles.
Amongst its many functions, including a creative think-tank and large-scale public art installations, the Faena Collaboratory will also serve as an innovative sales environment for Faena House, the extraordinary 18-story new development featuring 47 one- to five-bedroom oceanfront condominiums designed by Foster + Partners. The development, already 65 percent sold, is crowned by three one-of-a-kind penthouses, including a full floor duplex penthouse. This extraordinary residence features over 8,000 square feet of indoor living space and 7,299 square feet of private outdoor space, including a roof top pool with panoramic views of the ocean, Indian Creek and the Downtown Miami skyline, in addition to a private interior elevator. Construction on Faena House is underway, and is expected to be complete in the fall of 2014. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling sales and marketing for the building, where prices range from $2.5M to $50M.
Inspired by Mr. Faena’s vision of indoor/outdoor living on the beach, each residence features a majestic wraparound terrace, known in Argentina as an “alero.â€Â The aleros, which span up to 7,299 square feet, are custom designed by Foster + Partners and engineered by Permasteelisa – eliminating the usual boundary between inside and outside though floor to ceiling window wall and door systems that open as wide as 12.5 feet in some residences.
Residents at Faena House will enjoy exclusive access to thoughtfully conceived and managed amenities including 24-hour doorman, valet, and private concierge; preferred status and access to all services provided by the Faena Saxony Hotel, as well as all cultural offerings of the Faena District; in-house spa with separate men’s and women’s facilities; in-house fitness center with direct ocean views; an in-house lounge / children’s playroom; attended private residential Beach Club (with cabana service); landscaped pool and children’s pool; and gardens with both common areas and more intimate spaces.
The Faena Collaboratory is free and open to the public by appointment only, through December 2014. The installations by Juan Gatti and Studio Jobs will remain on view through the duration of the Collaboratory, but Ameztoy’s site-specific work will only be on view during Art Basel Miami Beach, December 4-8, 2013.
