â€œA Blacktape Eventâ€ by BLACKTAPEartâ€™s exhibit includes about 30 pieces by 6 artists from different backgrounds and latitudes who share a common experience and passion for innovative and transforming art practices. BLACKTAPEart is a collective founded by Sophia Tragash from Miami and Grannell Knox from New York City. Their mission is to build a network of artists to create exposure opportunities to showcase a new and groundbreaking movement with bold works in all media. The artists include: From Miami Sophia Tragash – Visual artist, Rafael Rodriguez – Visual artist, and Juan Cogar â€“ Visual artist. From New York: Grannell Knox – Filmmaker / Photographer, Joe Bussiere – Poet / Musician, Will Kaiser – Visual artist. By coming together in different disciplines from painting, to music, to installations and experimental film, the six artists are creating an all-sensorial experience that will push the boundaries of the conventional. â€œThe combination of mediums is a means to ecstasy,â€ said Grannell Knox, co-founder of BLACKTAPEart.Â Opening night is on Thursday, December 5 at 6:30pm and the exhibit will be open to the public from December 5th thru the 8th from 6:30 to 10:00 P.M.
