Modus Miami will be unveiling their newly designed showroom during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach with a tribute to legendary Italian designer Gio Ponti. The elegant furniture & design showroom will be highlighting four pieces recreated by Italian furniture company Molteni&C that were inspired by the work of Gio Ponti. Modus Miami will also pay attribute to the designer with a window art installation inspired by his drawings of the 1950s and 1960s. The private event will be held on Friday, December 6 with guests including prominent interior designers, architecture enthusiasts, and real estate professionals.
The four pieces to be exhibited at Modus Miami are part of Molteni&C’s initiative to focus on masters of architecture and design by recreating furniture and furnishings by impactful figures. The Italian furniture company was able to breathe new life into Ponti’s designs after an extensive research process regarding the prototypes that were secured after Molteni&C signed an agreement with Ponti’s heirs. Other highlighted furniture collections include famed brands such as Dada, Armani / Dada, and Terzani.
