The 13th annualÂ South Beach Wine & Food Festival,Â presented by Food Network, has announced its lineup for the 2014 event taking place in Miami Beach and all around town.Â This year, with nearly every major celebrity chef in America, festivalÂ will grow again, with more than 70 seminars, parties, and dinners scheduled, up from about 50 events offered last year.
Most of #SOBEWFF favorites will return, including the Grand Tasting Village; Burger Bash, hosted by Rachael Ray; Best of the Best at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach; Thrillist’s BBQ & the Blues, hosted by Bobby Deen; Chicken Coupe, hosted by Andrew Carmellini; Southern Kitchen Brunch, hosted by Trisha Yearwood; and Swine & Wine, hosted by Michelle Bernstein, but thereÂ are some additions and major changes to the event programming.
Thursday evening’s the Q, taking place at the tents opposite theÂ Ritz-Carlton South Beach, will feature host Michael Symon, along with the 2014Â Sports IllustratedÂ swimsuit models. The festival is introducing a Â bathing beautiesÂ to go with your meat to celebrate the magazine’s iconic annual celebration of hotness, featuring the most gorgeous girls in the world wearing bikinis made for absolutely no water sports we can think of.
Also new for 2014 is a dinner based on the HBO series “Treme”Â on Saturday, February 22, featuring Anthony Bourdain, Emeril Lagasse, John Besh, Susan Spicer, and Wylie Dufresne; Emeril and Sammy’s Rockin’ Beach Party presented by Cabo Wabo Tequila and featuring rocker Sammy Hagar; a cocktail party at Wynwood Walls; and a screening of the film “Soul of a Banquet”, the story of chef Cecilia Chiang, who is best known for introducing authentic Chinese food to America. The film will be shown at theÂ Miami Beach SoundScapeÂ in partnership with the Miami International Film Festival, and formerÂ New York TimesÂ restaurant critic and writer Ruth Reichl will speak at the dinner that will follow.
