Fisher Island Club hosted an exclusive interactive dinner, “Starry Night: An Evening with Tyler Florence,” in conjunction with the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE. More than 70 Fisher Island Club members and VIPs attended the event inside the Club’s historic Vanderbilt Mansion, which featured a variety of delectable dishes prepared by the famed chef, author, TV personality and restaurateur.
The event commenced with a pre-dinner cocktail hour where guests enjoyed an array of hors dâ€™ oeuvres that included caviar with crÃ¨me fraiche and honeydew gel, roasted shiitakes, halibut crisp with minted peas, and pheasant meatballs with black truffle. The cocktail hour was followed by an intimate dinner, where guests feasted on ham and parsley aspic, burrata, blue cheese-cured filet, lobster tempura, roasted fava beans, saffron rouille and roasted white chocolate cheesecake. During the dinner, Chef Florence personally visited each table to explain how he skillfully prepared the dishes. All proceeds from the dinner benefited the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University.
